Door de omleiding veroorzaakt door de werken aan de spoorweg Gent-Kortrijk komt een groot deel van het verkeer langs de Nachtegaalstraat. Regelmatig belanden voertuigen in de gracht tussen de spoorweg en de Kortrijksesteenweg.
